Stephanie Wang is a multimedia producer and content strategy professional based in New York with a passion for multi-platform, transformational storytelling via the convergence of media, marketing and technology, which has led her to expand into the digital marketing and social media space. She employs her creative writing and producing skills to generate high-quality experiences that engage and inspire diverse, multi-cultural audiences.  As a native Chinese speaker fluent in three dialects of Chinese, she is also a Chinese language production consultant and voiceover specialist.

By taking client-seeded ideas, and developing them into branded content that includes short and long form film/video, social media content, websites, blogs, digital marketing materials and branded entertainment, Stephanie helps meet their business, branding, and outreach objectives. Her clients include individuals, agencies, start-ups, corporations and Non-profit organizations.

Experience

Stephanie is versatile in all aspects of content creation and production, including development, financing, writing, directing, producing and casting. She has produced both narrative and documentary short and feature length film and video, for theatrical, television and online distribution. These films have been part of official selections at many film festivals including Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, and International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA). She also has a deep understanding and appreciation of the value of social capital and networks, and how that translates into the spreading of ideas, beliefs and behavior across various social media platforms – whether in marketing a new product or promoting a social cause.

Philosophy

It is Stephanie’s firm belief that it is possible to simultaneously maximize both economic profit and social impact by creating directly experiential and highest common denominator media that touches universal themes. Storytellers are connectors, providing the means to link ideas, individuals and messages. Collaboration with like-minded partners, communities and aggregating organizations further activates this process and are a key to exponential and sustainable success.

Background

Prior to entering the film industry, Stephanie was a Reuters Survey number one ranked institutional equity analyst in the retail and consumer sector with HSBC Securities (Hong Kong) and a corporate finance analyst at Salomon Brothers (New York). Stephanie is a global nomad who grew up in Hong Kong, and has lived and traveled extensively around the world. Stephanie received her B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and graduated with combined accounting and politics concentrations from Wharton and Oxford University, England.
