This project was originated and directed by Jonathan Stack, and produced by Jonathan Stack and Stephanie Wang at HCD Media Group for the X PRIZE Foundation. We designed, created and produced twenty grassroots, spreadable online videos and one presentation video as part of a campaign to inspire and galvanize high school students across the U.S. to participate in the DASH+ Contest – a ‘green’ car dashboard design competition, and to raise awareness for environmental sustainability. We engaged the target audience by filming high school students around the country who were influencers in their schools, and asking them to share their vision of an environmentally sustainable automobile, thereby integrating the production process into the contest’s marketing strategy.
The X PRIZE Foundation is an educational non-profit organization whose mission is to create radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity thereby inspiring the formation of new industries, jobs and the revitalization of markets that are currently stuck. Today, it is widely recognized as the leader in fostering innovation through competition.
